Ubisoft are one of the world's largest video game publishers and are responsible for the rainbow six series. On the 25th February Major League Gaming, the professional video game league, announced its partnership with Ubisoft, on the development of the highly anticipated Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2. |
The new Rainbow Six game features an "MLG Map" which is
set in the MLG Pro Circuit at the
Las Vegas Convention Centre. MLG and Ubisoft combined during
the development of the map, which was designed with
competitive gaming and tactical play in mind.
The partnership highlights the importance of both MLG
and competitive multiplayer gaming in live
and online environments. With millions of gamers playing and
spectating at
its live competitions and on its websites, MLG is now
recognized by players and publishers as a leading authority
on competitive play, and its rules and game settings have
become the recognised standard for competition around the
world.

Since 1998
with the Nintendo 64, the
Rainbow Six franchise has been a leader in the world of
online multiplayer video games and have been quoted "proud to have
worked with MLG on Vegas 2".
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 releases in March 2008 for
the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from
Microsoft, the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system
and PC.
