Battlefield: Bad Company Review
Plot
Set in the near future BF:BC leads you through a story, where the gratitude of a nation just isn’t enough. At the beginning you are dropped into a Eurasion conflict, you follow a group of four renegade soldiers who risk it all for a personal quest for gold. The cinematic experience shows the intensity of the single player experience and the wit and flavour of the characters.
Game play
The game play is a strong feature, as it is using the new Frostbite engine. This allows players to destroy up to 90% of surroundings and terrain to suit them. This new engine enables the player to mould their field of battle, and create extraordinary scenarios. The multiplayer allows you to proceed through ranks, buy guns, drive a wide range of vehicles and play with up to 24 other players online. The attention to detail is applied in the act of firing; dozens of subtle changes to the FPS formula all together make it a vastly improved shooting experience. This new addition to the Battlefield games has the same unique ideas as the other PC Battlefield games.
In my opinion
Overall this game is very special, using its frostbite engine allowing players to destroy most objects. Gives a real experience while playing the game, also this means the game is unique to other fps. As it brings vehicles into the game, allows you to buy weapons and create squads. Some improvements in my opinion would be to alter the matchmaking system, as this makes it difficult to meet up with friends and clans. Another point would be to give a wider range of classes to choose from in the single players campaign. I feel this Battlefield game stands strong within the other great Battlefield games. It will also become a top fps for the xbox 360.
